Polished Golden Amphibolite GA147 epidote MN124 Magneprase slabGA147 Golden Amphibolite rock, cut and polished on one side with a rough, natural back and a cut base to stand on. Dimensions at widest points approximately 200 mm x 100 mm x 40 mm thick. Weighs 1,886 grams. The amphibolite, most likely grunerite , has now been largely altered to hematite, goethite and quartz and it displays a beautiful golden iridescence. Also called "Gold Leaf Stone". It occurs in the Pilbara region of Western Australia on Abydos
